In Memory Of Mo
"You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."
Mo was picked up by the dog catchers from the streets of Sarajevo in February 2016. When Sejla first saw him she thought he was dead as the dog catchers had left him lying in the yard of the killing station where they had taken him. They said to Sejla they were leaving him there as, because he was very elderly and nearly blind, he would not be able to go anywhere. He was left there to die with no food or water.
Sejla was told that he was aggressive and needed a muzzle. She comforted him and commented that his eyes were so sad and full of emotion and pain. She took him to the vet, and then back to the safety of SOS Sunshine Paws Sanctuary, where he became a very happy much-loved little dog, with a smiling face and shining golden eyes. He followed Sejla from dog box to dog box when she was cleaning them, and she called him her ‘little inspector’.
Mo became ill in December 2016, and sadly died in Sejla’s arms when they were on their way to the vet. Mo is badly missed at the Shelter, and Sejla misses her dear little inspector very much.
