Bruce was rescued by Fata in October 2017. He was a young dog who had suffered poor health, neglect and physical injuries.
He arrived, desperately in need of medical help, so thin, so nervous, but so trusting. Adorable warm loving eyes and a playful nature - Bruce melted hearts immediately - he had a voracious appetite ... and where there was food there was Bruce.
Sadly, Bruce was taken from us unexpectedly on 24th June 2018. His poor start in life meant he was not strong enough to stay with us long, no amount of funds and care could keep him with us. It has left all who knew him bereft and in tears.
Bruce was eternally grateful for the haven which is Honors Shelter. He would wish his place be given to others in need of a safe place to rest their head, a belly full of food, a warm hand and a loving touch, friends to play with and a future family home.
In Bruce’s memory we wish to set up a fund aimed at giving the abandoned, the injured, the malnourished dogs of Bosnia a chance of growing up in safety and to lead healthy, cherished lives.
We often get urgent appeals from tourists to Bosnia pleading for assistance and intervention for dogs and puppies in distress. We cannot help them all, but if we can, we will. We need funds to travel, veterinary care, medications, quarantine and extra food.
We need your help - please help us to help them.
