Adopting a dog from SOS Sunshine Paws Sanctuary
First of all, thank you for thinking about adopting one of our wonderful dogs. Many people have given homes to members of our shelter family and they couldn’t imagine life without them. Don’t just take our word for it - have a look at our testimonials page to learn about some of the fantastic happy-ever-afters. Adopting from our shelter in Bosnia is probably easier than you think and you’ll find all the information you need here.
Before adoption, all dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, treated for worms and fleas and have their own passport. Transport can also be arranged. As a contribution to these costs, we ask for a minimum donation of 240 Euros (plus transport costs - costs may vary).
There are three easy steps to adopting:
1. Have a look at the many lovely dogs in SOS Sunshine Paws Sanctuary and when you’ve found one you’d like to find out more about, fill in the inquiry form. One of our friendly volunteers will be back in touch.
2. A home visit will then be arranged. You will be contacted to arrange a convenient time for a home visitor to come round for a chat. This is vital in making sure that dog and home are a good match.
3. Following a successful home visit, we can start to make arrangements for transporting the dog from the shelter. You will also be asked to sign a homing contract with us.
If you have any questions before, during or after the process, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
